The Path to $1 Million: Find Growth Strategies for Startups With EO’s Accelerator Program

Our organization is made up of a global network of business owners who support and learn from one another. While we have a minimum revenue requirement, our Accelerator program provides education, mentorship and growth strategies for startups and small businesses. 


The program was designed to help you break through growth plateaus and achieve sustainable growth. EO Accelerator is built around the book “Scaling Up” by Verne Harnish and paired with mentorship, peer support and other educational opportunities that provide business owners with the tools they need to scale effectively. 


How EO Accelerator Works

To join the EO Accelerator program, your organization needs a yearly revenue of at least $250,000 to $1 million. After you accept the offer to join, you’ll be placed in a group of eight to 10 local entrepreneurs who are at a similar stage in their business for your learning days. 


The learning days happen once a quarter and are led by expert facilitators brought in by the Entrepreneurs Organization. In these learning days, you’ll work through the “Scaling Up” book’s four key components: people, strategy, execution and cash. These days give you the knowledge and tools you need to implement what you’ve learned over the last quarter. 


Another integral part of this program is having accountability. This accountability comes in the form of small groups of your Accelerator peers and a current EO Cincinnati member. You’ll meet monthly to discuss the growth strategies for startups discussed in your quarterly learning day, share experiences and challenges, and keep each other accountable.  


When you are an EO Accelerator member, you are also invited to our member events. These events are a mix of educational opportunities and fun social events. Through the events, you can meet current EO members and learn from business owners who are at the level you are hoping to achieve. 


The Four Pillars of EO Accelerator Learning Days

Your quarterly learning days are full of great growth strategies for startups and small businesses to grow to the next level. Each day focuses on one of four of the following topics from the Scaling Up methodology:

  • People: Learn how to hire, develop and retain top talent. This session also covers leadership, accountability and creating a company culture to ensure the right people are in the right roles. 

  • Strategy: This day will focus on your differentiation from others, competitive advantage and your long-term vision. You’ll learn how to refine your core customer profiles and create a scalable growth plan.  

  • Execution: Discover the best ways to streamline processes, improve efficiency and set meeting pulses that drive accountability. You’ll also learn how to track key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain consistent execution. 

  • Cash: In the last section, you’ll learn strategies for financial management, including cash flow, profitability and funding strategies. You’ll gain insights into financial statements and explore your options for scaling.

How to Join EO Accelerator

Our Accelerator program is open to business owners with an annual revenue between $250,000 and $1 million who want to learn key growth strategies for their startups. It does require a time commitment of:

  • One full-day learning session per quarter.

  • A three- to four-hour monthly accountability meeting.

  • Optional social and educational events, often held in the evening.
