Cincinnati’s entrepreneurial community continues to grow, powered by founders who are reshaping industries and creating new opportunities across the region. For early-stage and growth-minded business owners, knowing where to find the right guidance and resources is key to turning ideas into thriving companies.

This roundup highlights several organizations providing small business support in Cincinnati. From funding and education to mentorship and community, these programs help local entrepreneurs move forward with confidence.

Alloy Development Co.

Alloy is a cornerstone of Cincinnati’s small business ecosystem. They support Cincinnati entrepreneurs by serving as a commercial capital lender, economic development partner and growth lab for startups.

Through its commercial capital programs, Alloy provides small business loans designed to fit specific needs all with flexible financing and long-term fixed rates.

Alloy’s economic development arm supports Hamilton County by helping businesses expand, relocate or invest locally. Entrepreneurs can access resources such as property search tools and information on available tax incentives.

In its Growth Lab, startups can work with experienced catalysts to develop an investment-ready business model, refine their growth strategy and connect with other innovators.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses

Through Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center, local entrepreneurs can join the national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. This initiative has invested more than $750 million to help small business owners create jobs and strengthen their communities.

As a participant you'll receive a scholarship for a 14-session training program. The curriculum focuses on the practical skills you'll need as a business owner. The program also offers one-on-one business advising sessions.

This program is ideal for owners who want to sharpen their leadership skills and make strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth.

Aviatra Accelerators

Aviatra Accelerators provides support for women entrepreneurs. The organization combines education, coaching and community to help women start and grow their businesses.

Programs are organized by stage. For those ready to start, classes like “From Daydream to Launch” and “Side Hustle Without the Hustle” help turn ideas into action. For those ready to grow, programs such as the “Momentum Accelerator” and “Capital Ready Women” offer hands-on coaching and funding preparation.

Aviatra also hosts networking events and offers affordable coworking memberships that foster accountability and connection.

Local entrepreneur, Sarah Crawford, went through this small business support program in Cincinnati. She shared with us that she joined to learn how to become a stronger business leader. “My practice was thriving, but I wanted to grow with intention,” she said. “The accountability groups were transformational.
