Entrepreneur Learning Events Cincinnati - EO Cincinnati

Entrepreneurs’ Organization members truly are citizens of the world. We asked local chapter members about their international experiences with EO.

MY EO Experiences: Jay Mueller

EO is a gym, not a spa,” says Jay Mueller, CEO of Camargo Insurance and longtime EO Cincinnati member. “For members who open the door to the international community, it is deep and wide.”

That perspective perfectly captures what makes the Entrepreneurs’ Organization so powerful. It’s a place where members who put in the effort find limitless opportunities for growth, learning and global connection.

Every year, EO offers countless ways to engage internationally; from the Global Leadership Conference (GLC), open to members who are serving in leadership positions, to MyEO events, which are open to all members, connections are happening across the world. “I’ve seen everything from mountain biking and shark diving to meditation retreats and learning sessions,” Mueller says. “The global EO community is vibrant and committed.”

The relationships Mueller has built through EO’s international network have endured for years. “Just in the past 30 days, I’ve connected with members in Italy, Mexico, South Africa, Omaha and Spain for reasons ranging from travel and family connections to business opportunities,” he shares. “In my experience, EO members are always happy to help when another member reaches out.”

MY EO Experiences: Mark Homer

Mark Homer, founder and chairman of Grandin Holdings, has long embraced EO’s global network as an extension of his entrepreneurial journey. For him, leaning into EO beyond Cincinnati grew out of genuine curiosity and early regional connections. That curiosity eventually led him to EO’s Global Leadership Conference (GLC), where he connected with entrepreneurs from across the world and experienced firsthand how powerful a shared EO foundation can be.

Those global connections didn’t stop at conversation. Through EO’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), Homer found himself judging alongside entrepreneurs from countries like Mexico and China, later traveling internationally to serve as a judge in cities such as Hong Kong and Toronto.

“You have this shared connection on day one because you’re all in EO,” he explains, “but you also get this deeper understanding of what it’s like to run a business outside the U.S., and in many cases, it’s much harder.”

That same depth of connection has shaped Homer’s personal EO travel experiences, including time spent visiting fellow EO Cincinnati member Jay Mueller in Spain. Experiencing another country through the lens of an EO peer created moments, he says, “you could never pay a travel agent for,” offering authentic access to local culture and community that only trusted relationships make possible.

Homer has also leaned into MyEO international experiences, including the International Yacht Experience in Croatia, where small-group settings helped forge lasting global relationships. “It’s night and day compared to traditional business networking,” he says. For Homer, EO’s international opportunities create meaningful relationships that continue long after the experience ends.
